GOAL: Raise $10,000 for WWIN

Bounce into SPRING stylishly! How would it feel if you took a pile of clothes out of your wardrobe you don't wear and swapped them for a new pile?

For many people shopping is a social event; meeting up with your friends and browsing racks and racks of clothing. This is an opportunity to be involved in a gentler form of capitalism. It saves on the environment when we reuse and allows you to be ethically conscious with your fashion.

One person’s trash is another’s treasure. It's exciting to be part of something that is going against the current tide of consumption… People are really excited about the prospect of hunting down a new piece of clothing that would essentially cost nothing, but also about being able to give new life to their old clothing.

- Lovely, fashion loving, environmentally aware, intelligent women

- Everything from formal dresses, suits, casual clothes, high-end brands and vintages pieces

- Tables with clothes organized in sizes xxs to plus size and petites to talls

- You will get a ticket for each item you bring that you can swap for an equal amount of items

- Access to DRES Style Mall filled with beauty/fashion products and services from woman owned businesses, each
personally curated by Margaret Spencer

- Refreshments and music so you can shop till you drop!!

Your wardrobe fills up with clothing you don’t wear and you want to ensure that your impact on the planet is minimal. You have too many clothes in your closet and can't find anything to wear!

A) Clean out your closet and come to a DROP Pop-up Party (see below for locations) DRES Swap! and exchange your old clothes for new ones!

B) Professional Wardrobe Edit. Contact a Personal Image Stylist like Margaret Spencer of DRES System for a closet edit appointment prior to the DRES Swap! She will teach you what to purge out of your closet and how to maintain a small wardrobe you love and only buy (or swap) what you need.

C) Come to the DRES Swap! If you’re after a fun and social way to be ethically conscience with your clothing, then perhaps it's time you head to the DRES Swap! It might just be the perfect way to spring into summer with a new look. Grab your friends and drop-in anytime between 2:00-6:00pm. Don't miss the WWIN Fashion Show at 5:00pm.

1) Only things in good condition (washed and ironed) will be accepted. Would you loan it to a friend?
2) Accessories are accepted too. Gently worn shoes, handbags, jewelry, scarves and unopened beauty products.
3) Clean out pockets! We are not responsible for any lost items.
4) NO stained clothes, smelly, mildew, wholes (un-intentional), moth-eaten sweaters, and no bras or underwear.
5) You must put everything in the dryer (including handbags and shoes) on high heat (at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit) for 10 to 20 minutes. This will kill uninvited guests like bedbugs, clothing moths, carpet beetles and lice. Even dry-clean-only items!!
6) Leave your belongings in the off-limits dressing area so that guests don't mistakenly take things others want to keep. "Once a friend lost her shirt—literally!"
7) BYOB, Bring your own shopping bag. We do not supply them.
8) Ground rules:
1. Single file line forms at front of door. First come, first selection.
2. If two friends have their eye or hand on the same thing, raise your hand and someone will come by to flip a coin.
3. If it’s not in your bag or hand, it’s not yours!
4. Anyone behaving disrespectfully will be asked to leave without a refund.

100% of all proceeds from this event goes to Washington Women In Need (WWIN). WWIN believes that a woman has the wisdom and freedom to make her own choices and design her own future. Given the opportunity, every woman can inspire positive change for herself, her family, and her community. They make financial grants to women in Washingtion State who are ready for transformation change in two categories: Education and Healtch Care.

All clothing, accessries and cosmetics left over after the DRES Swap! will be donated directly to Goodwill of Seattle. Their mission is to provide job traiing and education programs to help people find and keep good jobs. Goodwill retial stores help fund the mission and last year they provided services to over 11,500 people and more than 1,900 people were placed into jobs.
